About
We believe communities grow when their people have the space to do the work. Here's who we are and what we're building.
The Organization
We create spaces where nonprofits and mission-driven entrepreneurs can grow while meeting the needs of residents in historically underserved neighborhoods. Our community hubs support small businesses, educational institutions, workforce development programs, and wellness providers in unique, convenient, and accessible venues.
The Campus
A six-acre campus in the historic Titusville neighborhood of Birmingham, providing beautiful, affordable space for nonprofits, mission-driven entrepreneurs, and small businesses. Our goal is to create community, opportunity, and collaboration that connects private companies, nonprofits, and the surrounding neighborhood.
Our Vision
Three convictions at the center of everything we do.
Beat One
The Social Commons is a six-acre, two-building community hub serving Titusville.
Beat Two
We bring together employers, learners, nonprofits, and mission-driven entrepreneurs to create a holistic ecosystem of opportunity and connection.
Beat Three
The campus provides a trusted entry point for organizations and a framework for collaboration that lets each partner concentrate on their mission while multiplying their collective impact.
Two buildings. Six acres. One growing community.

Two ways your support strengthens Titusville from the ground up.
We support entrepreneurs, small businesses, and nonprofits through strategic partnerships. Your donation helps activate commercial spaces within the Social Commons campus, creating real economic opportunities that strengthen Titusville from the ground up.
We support programming that brings people together, from block parties and food truck festivals to cultural events and career fairs. These experiences foster a sense of belonging and pride that transforms neighborhoods and gives residents reasons to call Titusville home.
The best way to understand Social Commons is to walk through it. Schedule a free tour, or support the work that makes it possible.
